Here's a pic of my orange beastie about to swallow a load of a week's worth of groceries.
I live along Moonee Ponds Creek in Melbourne, so every time we make a trip out it's uphill in either direction (unless going downstream to the city).
My carry-shit Olympics record is 120 kg of concrete from Bunnings. (6 x 20kg bags)

I have 3 silverback scoop fatties . These have been kitted out with the bbshd 1000 Watt mid drive 52volt 14 amp. These bikes were built to gain access to 12km of previously inaccessible beach at my local.
These bikes are tough and the terrain they conquer is incredible. No problem riding through soft high tide sand. Riding mostly on the beach in the harshest elements these require regular maintenance but the rewards far outweigh the work involved.
Thanks luna mate you have changed my life and opened up my playground.

"For christmas I received a gift that would benefit me for many years. It was bafang bbshd kit with 6ah 52v mighty mini. An easy to install, light weight motor with the lightest weight battery. My newly transformed bike, now an E-bike is awesome. I can now travel short & long distances without a sweat and has come to aid on mutiple occasions when I would be running late. Of course, riding off road is also no obstacle for this unstoppable machine. I have the luxury to abuse it all I want, and still at the end of the day, it is my best friend. I can still exercise with "pedal assist" function, so I have the ability to have fun and have a little sweat. Even if my family isn't even close to being mechanics we still managed to install it with the help of online tutorials and videos. However we did not have the tool to remove the crankset, so we lazily gave the bike to our local shop to have it removed for $15. With some effort and time you will not regret going through the trouble and learning points to create this awesome D.I.Y vehicle.

My spiel is:
Matt from Canberra
Had to fight the hordes of people lining up for early morning toilet paper to get this bike from Aldi, used a brake hone to slightly widen the bottom bracket, and had to file down the water bottle mounting bracket screws down to fit the battery onto the receiver. Things went pretty smoothly after that - A pretty fun building process in the end.
Upgraded with a suspension seatpost and schwalbe marathon mtb 29er tyres

Shaun from Perth Northern Suburbs
Shaun had no issues with the instalation, motor or battery. XT 10 speed, Lunamate ebike chain with high tensile pins with no issues. 52t Lekkie chainring
Aftermarket XT rims with rear re built with DT Swiss Chsmpion spokes. Tyres Schwalbe Marathon Plus mtb 27.5
Suspension sestpost. Adjustable handle bar stem. Mudguards and paniers are waterproof Tioga
Bike built for commute to work 53km round trip. XT wheelset was more of a budget selection as they were mid range in price and next wheelset would be DT Swiss. Tyres selected for puncture protection, rode over 5000km with zero punctures and they roll pretty good for a mtb tyre--

Shane from Queensland, an example of a well thought out build on an old quality dual suspension ebike.
"Giant Trance X2 2008, BBSHD 68mm with 52V 14aH battery. One spacer and a bit of dremel work was required to get it installed, otherwise it went i well.without any problems".
